The Chairman of Spoken Words (Frank Thomas Williams) released his debut CD ' Social Ills' (SI) in 2009.
The Chairman is an author, an advocate, an activist, and an educator; in addition to being a community leader, a motivational speaker, a mentor and a Spoken Words Artist.
The Chairman of Spoken Words has performed from the Bay Area, Texas, Atlanta, and Minneapolis to Chicago.
He has performed at venues such as, The Java House, The Poetic Groove, Holler-Back, Linen Life, Anna’s Jazz Island, Jefferies Inner Circle, Listen & Be Heard, Mouth Off Wednesday’s and Dalva’s to The Green Mill and P.O.E.T., in Chicago.
He has performed at The Rockit Room, Yoshi's, SF Juneteenth, Washington Inn and the Radisson Hotel in SF; Yoshi’s & Arroyo Park in Oakland with 3xs BMA singer Lea Sweet.
The Chairman has performed at Kimball's Carnival (Awarded Spoken Word BABMA 2010) & the Love Jones in Oakland, and at colleges, universities, parks and community events in various cities and countries in the US.
He’s been on various radio stations and online radio broadcasts such as KPOO, KGO radio, 104.1 fm, the Village Connect, the Remix, Epiphany House on Blog talk radio and others.
2011 National BMA Spoken Word Artist, 2010 Bay Area Black Music Award winner, and 2012 All Indie Music Awards Nominee--The Chairman was born and raised in Chicago, residing in the Bay Area, has taken spoken word by storm.
