Lady Peachena Gets a Break! It’s Her Season!
PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - Tate Music Group recently announced the album release of renowned gospel artist and Grammy-nominated songwriter, Lady Peachena. Her new offering, “I’LL NEVER LET GO OF MY FAITH,” is filled with an array of top-notch, skillfully blended songs flavored with reggae, and R & B, - all written by Lady Peachena. Produced by the Tate Music Group, this album includes 12 uplifting original tracks, and is currently available nationwide at: iTunes.com, Amazon.com, or directly from TateMusicGroup.com.
Affectionately dubbed the Queen of Gospel-Reggae music, Lady Peachena is anointed, a trend-setter, and as charismatic as ever with her spirited, island-influenced messages of inspiration. Since ’97, Lady Peachena has been a faithful member of the Love Fellowship Tabernacle in Brooklyn, New York, and a decade-long member of the Grammy-winning choir, The Love Fellowship Choir with Bishop Hezekiah Walker, as well as a founding member and lead singer with LFT’s Rhema Choir.
Lady Peachena’s latest album is a lively collection of message songs, some with hot reggae beats, (“Try Jesus,” “Hard Times,” “It’s Amazing,” “My Fortress Forever,” “Got Jesus? Raise Your Hands”), and some with fiery, funky R & B beats like title-cut, “I’ll Never Let Go of My Faith,” and “No Greater Love Than This,” which should become a House-Gospel hit.
This fiery-voiced songstress shows her versatility throughout this musical delight. Traditional church-stomper, “Stay in the Will of The Lord,” was recorded with LFT’s Rhema Choir, while “Not Another Child,” was recorded with LFT’s Kingdom Kids Choir. This mournful ballad urges youth to stop the shameful gun violence that’s plaguing our inner cities, and it features the pleading vocals of her granddaughter, Jeniyah Eure.
Since 1995, Lady Peachena and her choir, The Late Show’s Gospel Choir, has been featured on CBS TV’s “LATE SHOW,” several times which has brought them much exposure before millions. Last year, Lady Peachena and some members of her choir were featured on Showtime’s new show, “THE BIG C,” and she had the distinct honor of not only directing the choir, but singing her Grammy-nominated song, “Dancing in the Spirit,” on this highly-rated show. Recently, The Late Show’s Gospel Choir taped a superb segment with popular rock band, 30 Seconds to Mars, for MTV’S “MTV UNPLUGGED,” which aired July 19th to rave reviews. The Choir went on its first music tour of Spain last July, and has already signed to do a Christmas Holiday Tour there in December of this year.
This multi-talented psalmist is also the playwright of a riveting Gospel musical, “THE GREAT DIVAS OF GOSPEL,” that has been playing in theaters, churches, and supper-clubs all across this nation for the past 18 years. What an awesome celebration of traditional Gospel music! This powerful Gospel show salutes the female pioneers of Gospel music such as: the Clara Ward Singers, the Sallie Martin Singers, Ruth Davis & the Famous Davis Sisters, Marion Williams & the Stars of Faith, Dorothy Love Coates & the Original Harmonettes, Albertina Walker & the Famous Caravans, the Roberta Martin Singers, and Gospel’s first queen, Mahalia Jackson. The incredible struggles and triumphs of these great ladies come alive on stage as you’re taken on a lively train ride to the cities where they lived. Lady Peachena plays the dynamic role of Mahalia Jackson in this show, and her powerful portrayal is a haunting show-stopper. Glorious singing!
Most recently, Lady Peachena starred in a sensational movie short called, “SUNSET,” which was filmed and produced by budding film-maker, Chinisha Scott. In the film, this Gospel Diva plays the role of a veteran singer who mentors a younger singer about the troubles of a singer’s life during the turbulent 1960s. The story of Sunset brilliantly showcases her vocal and acting talents as the movie exposes nuances of the music business, the power of political action, and the effects of racial prejudice. Expect this film to be released at several film festivals in the spring of 2012.
Lady Peachena, also known as “the Bishop’s Daughter,” gives all credit and glory to God for opening some extraordinary doors on her behalf, for in reality she has done a phenomenal bounty of work, but with no agent. It’s her time! It’s her season! And her golden voice is as strong as ever! “I’m grateful to God for the unmerited favor that he has bestowed upon me,” she confides. Her parents are the late Bishop & Mrs. James L. Eure, of Holy Temple COGIC, of Salisbury, Maryland.

Over the years, The Late Show’s Gospel Choir has accompanied such performers as Gloria Estefan, Enrique Iglesias, Brian McKnight, Mavis Staples, Carol King, Darlene Love, Paul Shaffer, and comedians, Martin Shore & Steve Martin.
The Late Show’s Gospel Choir filmed their first national TV commercial in ’98 for Proctor & Gamble’s Crest Toothpaste Pump singing popular Gospel song, “Oh Happy Day!” For the past 16 years, this spirited choir has not only been featured on “THE LATE SHOW,” but has sung at weddings, corporate events, parties and in concerts all over the East Coast, from such prestigious venues as Madison Square Garden to the Waldorf Hotel to Wall Street’s Cipriani’s, in New York City, to the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, D.C. to the Downtown Festival in Norfolk, VA, to the Hasbro Mansion in New Providence, R.I., and on to Seaman’s Bethel in New Bedford, MA.

Last summer, this outstanding choir performed in a series of “GOSPEL AT NOON,” one-hour concerts, for nine weeks at Harlem’s renowned Williams Institutional C.M.E. Church, which drew tourists from all over the world who witnessed their powerful voices and awesome harmonies.
This summer The Late Show’s Gospel Choir went on a 10-day tour of four cities in Spain where they nearly mobbed by enthusiastic fans, and sang to jam-packed crowds. Amazingly, this phenomenal choir got thunderous SRO standing ovations everywhere they went. An incredible happening! Consequently, The Late Show’s Gospel Choir will return to Spain for their Holiday Tour in December, and will also give concerts in cities in Italy in January, too.
Last week The Late Show’s Gospel Choir was the featured artist at the 26th Annual Gemini Awards TV Show, which was filmed at the Metro Toronto Convention Center, in Toronto, Canada.
